The portrait of our three evil hounds arrived on Friday. We couldn't be more delighted with it. I took it for framing yesterday. I thought you'd be pleased to know that the framer said it was the best animal oil portrait that has ever come into his shop. Debra Becker commissioned me to a portrait of their three dogs for her husband for Christmas 2005. Debra has nicknamed her dogs 'The Red Dog Brigade'! They comprise of Chloe, 3-year old female Vizla, 7-year old male Shiba Inu named Yoshi and Max a standard-sized 11-month old male dachshund. The idea Debra had for the portrait was to have the three dogs looking up at something outside the view of the onlooker. Debra supplied me with a variety of photos and we decided that Chloe should be looking forward to create a more aesthetically pleasing composition.
