Here you will find the full painting of Harley the Boxer Dog and a detailed version of the portrait. An email from Rowena when she recieved Harley is above and below in quotes. Harley was a very special dog and she was even featured in the Dogs Today Magazine. Harley was deaf and Rowena communicated through hand signals, touch and smiles, the bond between them was very close.

Above is a close up detail and below are the work in progress stages. This portrait was painted on 20 x 16 professionally stretched canvas using fine quality oil paints. Oils usually take a couple of weeks to dry depending on the thickness of the paint and the colours used. The sizes of canvas I use are standard sizes that can be framed either by a professional framer or for ready made frames.
